Travel CVICU RN in San Antonio, TX

A Travel Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide critical care for pediatric patients in a pediatric intensive care unit on a 13 week contract in San Antonio, Texas. The unit has 24 beds, uses Meditech, and cares for respiratory, neurologic, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, burn, DKA, and cardiac history cases with 2:1 staffing and higher acuity 1:1 assignments.

• Monitor critically ill pediatric patients and respond to changes in condition
• Manage ventilators, drips, central lines, chest tubes, trachs, and feeding tubes
• Assist with intubation, sedation, and lumbar puncture procedures
• Provide care for respiratory, neurologic, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, burn, DKA, and cardiac history cases
• Collaborate with the care team to support high-acuity assignments

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• PALS certification
• ICU level of care experience
• Intubated and ventilator experience

• ECMO experience
• CRRT experience
