Travel CVICU RN in Columbia, SC

A Travel CVICU Registered Nurse will care for adult cardiothoracic patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Columbia, South Carolina. The unit is a 12-bed setting with a 1:2 ratio and focuses on complex post-cardiac surgery and vascular cases. Care involves advanced monitoring and support for patients with critical cardiac and respiratory needs.

• Monitor hemodynamic status and respond to changes in condition
• Manage ventilated patients and support respiratory therapies
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips per protocol
• Care for central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes and pacing wires
• Administer blood products and manage IV insulin protocols
• Support post-cardiac surgery, ECMO, CRRT and other cardiothoracic cases

• South Carolina Registered Nurse license
• Associate degree in Nursing
• ACLS, BLS and NIHSS
• 2 years of CVICU experience
• Prior travel experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• ECMO, Impella and IABP experience
• Charting system experience
• Experience with acute stroke, renal failure or multisystem organ dysfunction
