Travel Ultrasound Tech in Santa Monica, CA

A Travel Ultrasound Tech Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer will perform general diagnostic ultrasound and assist with interventional studies in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Santa Monica, California. The unit serves adult and geriatric patients, with neonatal and pediatric studies also possible, and uses Epic.

• Perform general diagnostic ultrasound studies
• Assist with thoracentesis, paracentesis and biopsy guidance
• Support abdominal, obstetric, neonatal and pediatric scanning
• Verify image quality and document studies in Epic
• Maintain probe cleaning and disinfection processes

• BLS certification
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification in AB, OB or B
• 2 years of ultrasound tech experience
• Epic, PACS and Philips equipment experience
• Community hospital and prior travel experience
• Competence in abdominal, obstetric, neonatal and pediatric scanning

• Pediatrics experience
• Teaching hospital experience
