Travel Surgical Tech in Mission Hills, CA

A Travel Surgical Tech Surgical Technologist will assist surgical cases in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Mission Hills, California. The unit averages 30 cases a day across 8 rooms, with adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, plus Epic charting and Magnet status.

• Prepare the operating room and sterile field for cases
• Assist the surgical team during general, orthopedic, gynecologic, and robotic procedures
• Pass instruments, supplies, and implants while maintaining aseptic technique
• Set up and care for scopes, fiber optic equipment, and surgical supplies
• Support universal protocol, sharps safety, fire safety, laser safety, and radiation safety practices
• Handle specimens and maintain accurate labeling during cases

• BLS certification
• NBSTSA certification or NCCT certification
• 5 years of surgical technologist experience
• Aseptic technique, instrumentation, and sterile field skills

• General, orthopedic, and gynecologic case experience
• Robotic and laparoscopic case experience
• Vascular, thoracic, and trauma case experience
