Travel Surgical Tech in Columbia, SC

A Travel Surgical Tech Certified Surgical Tech will assist in the operating room with general and specialty cases in Columbia, South Carolina on a 13-week contract. The 9-room unit uses Epic and serves adolescents, adults and geriatrics in an acute care hospital.

• Prepare operating rooms, instruments and supplies
• Assist with general, robotic, orthopedic, neuro and eye cases
• Maintain aseptic technique and a sterile field
• Pass instruments and support case flow
• Handle counts, specimen care and room turnover
• Document case details in Epic

• BLS certification
• NBSTSA certification
• 1+ years of operating room experience with strong general surgery background
• Ambulatory OR experience
• Aseptic technique and general OR skills

• Epic charting system experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma Level I experience
• Experience with complex general surgery, spine and minimally invasive cases
