Travel Sterile Processing Tech in Santa Monica, CA

A Travel Sterile Processing Tech Sterile Processing Technician will support sterile processing in a hospital in Santa Monica, California on an 8-week contract. The adult unit averages 30 cases across 12 rooms and uses Epic. The setting is an acute care hospital with a beachside location.

• Decontaminate and clean surgical instruments and trays
• Assemble, inspect and wrap sets for case use
• Label, document and organize trays and equipment
• Operate washers, sterilizers and monitoring systems
• Perform IUSS and sterilization testing checks
• Process specialty service sets for surgical cases

• BLS certification
• National HSPA certification
• 2 years of sterile processing experience
• Epic experience
• Prior travel experience
• Tray assembly, wrapping, labeling and sterilization monitoring skills

• Scope and probe reprocessing
• Case cart and preference card experience
• Teaching, community hospital, LTAC or trauma level experience
