Travel Speech Language Pathologist in Napa, CA

A Travel Speech Language Pathologist will provide outpatient speech therapy in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Napa, California. The caseload includes adults and geriatrics with an average daily census of about 10, and stroke recovery is a key focus.

• Evaluate speech, language, cognition, and swallowing needs
• Conduct bedside swallow evaluations and modified barium swallow studies
• Develop and update plans of care and diet recommendations
• Provide treatment for dysphagia, dysarthria, fluency, and voice needs
• Educate patients and families on communication and swallowing strategies
• Document assessments, progress, and therapy interventions
• Collaborate with the care team on discharge planning and rehabilitation goals

• California Speech Language Pathologist license, pending license accepted
• BLS certification
• 2 years of speech language pathology experience
• Charting system experience
• Prior travel experience

• Hearing impairment care
• Trach and vent support
• Western Aphasia Battery experience
