Travel Speech Language Pathologist in Margate, FL

A Travel Speech Language Pathologist will provide speech therapy services in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Margate, Florida. The role supports adult inpatient, NICU, ICU, and swallow study care using Meditech and Expanse. Interdisciplinary communication is important in a fast-paced setting.

• Evaluate and treat speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive needs
• Support modified barium swallow studies and Passy Muir valve trials
• Complete caregiver education and language assessments
• Collaborate with physicians and residents on care plans
• Manage a varied adult inpatient caseload and prioritize daily treatments
• Document patient care accurately

• Certificate of Clinical Competence
• Florida speech-language pathology license
• BLS certification
• Master's degree from an accredited speech-language pathology program
• Independent practice in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Strong interdisciplinary communication skills

• Experience with outpatient and inpatient MBS studies
• ICU experience with tracheostomy care
• Adaptability in a fast-paced unit
• Comfort prioritizing an adult inpatient caseload across multiple care areas
