Travel SICU RN in Wichita, KS

A Travel Surgical Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for critically ill surgical patients in an acute care hospital on a 6-week contract in Wichita, Kansas. The 26-bed unit uses estimated 1:2 ratios and 1:1 care for high-acuity post-CABG patients. Meditech charting and advanced support equipment are used for trauma, post-CABG and post-TAVR care.

• Monitor critically ill surgical and trauma patients
• Titrate medication drips and respond to changes in condition
• Manage chest tubes, central lines and invasive devices
• Support recovery for post-CABG and post-TAVR patients
• Assist with CRRT, ECMO and other advanced ICU therapies
• Coordinate care with the charge nurse and multidisciplinary team

• Current Kansas Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS and NIH certification
• 1 year of current hospital ICU experience
• Strong critical care assessment and medication management skills

• TNCC
• Large trauma facility experience
