Travel SICU RN in Fredericksburg, VA

A Travel Surgical Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for adults and geriatrics in a 38-bed mixed MICU/SICU/CVICU ICU at a Level II Trauma Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia on a 13-week contract. Epic charting, an average daily census of 30, and first-time travelers are accepted.

• Assess complex surgical ICU patients
• Manage arterial lines and dysrhythmias
• Care for ventilated patients and support CRRT
• Administer blood products and titrate drips
• Maintain central lines, PICC lines, and isolation precautions
• Assist with bedside procedures and cardiac surgery recovery

• Virginia or compact Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• 2 years of surgical intensive care experience
• Arterial line, central line, and PICC line management
• Ventilator care, CRRT/CVVHD, and dysrhythmia management
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Level II trauma center experience

• TNCC and CSC
• Chest tube insertion and removal assistance
• ICP monitoring
• Procedural sedation, ABG interpretation, and Swan Ganz monitoring
