Travel SICU RN in San Antonio, TX

A Travel Surgical Intensive Care Registered Nurse will provide critical care in a hospital surgical intensive care unit on a 13-week contract in San Antonio, Texas. The unit uses Meditech charting and cares for complex ICU patients. Advanced bedside procedures are part of the setting.

• Monitor hemodynamic status and respond to changes in critically ill patients
• Assist with chest tubes, trachs, GI scopes and other advanced procedures
• Support intubation, central line and arterial line care
• Manage NG tubes, Foley catheters and dressing changes
• Document assessments, interventions and responses in Meditech
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver ICU-level treatment

• Active Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIH Stroke Certification
• 3 years or more ICU experience
• Strong critical thinking skills

• MICU and MSICU experience
• Meditech charting and order entry
