Travel SICU RN in Salem, VA

A Travel Surgical Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for critically ill surgical patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Salem, Virginia. The 12-bed unit uses Meditech and common assignments are 2:1, 3:1 and 1:1. Equipment includes CRRT, IABP, Impella, Arctic Sun, BIS, Vigilance and Cheetah.

• Monitor and assess critically ill surgical patients
• Assist with drains and central line placement
• Support hemodynamic management and critical care equipment
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Document patient care in Meditech
• Promote safe, team-focused patient care

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• ICU experience
• Critical care assessment and monitoring skills

• Surgical experience
