Travel SICU RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Surgical Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for adult surgical and trauma critical care patients in a 15-bed level 1 hospital unit in Charlottesville, Virginia on a 13-week contract. Epic charting is used, and the unit serves high-acuity patients needing intensive monitoring and support.

• Monitor and assess surgical and trauma ICU patients
• Manage ventilated patients and vasoactive infusions
• Maintain arterial lines, central lines, and other invasive monitoring
• Interpret ABGs, dysrhythmias, and hemodynamic changes
• Administer blood products, sedation, and critical care therapies
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team

• Virginia Registered Nurse license or pending Virginia license
• BLS
• ACLS
• 2 years of Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience
• Epic charting experience
• Critical care skills with 1:2 patient care

• TNCC
• Chest tube, EVD, and ICP monitoring experience
• Fresh tracheostomy, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury care
• Teaching hospital or trauma level I experience
