Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in South Carolina

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide pediatric respiratory care in a hospital for a 13-week contract in Charleston, South Carolina. The unit serves neonates, infants, children, and adolescents in a Magnet, teaching, Level I trauma hospital and uses Epic.

• Support respiratory assessment and treatment for neonatal and pediatric patients
• Assist with extubation and airway management
• Monitor ventilator support and adjust therapies per care plan
• Deliver inhaled medications, oxygen therapy, and other ordered treatments
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff in NICU and pediatric critical care
• Document respiratory care in Epic and respond to changing patient needs

• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider license in hand at start
• BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• 3 years of pediatric respiratory therapy experience
• NICU Level IV or pediatric ICU experience
• Extubation and pediatric critical care skills

• Epic charting experience
• Bronchoscopy experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Level I trauma experience
