Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Webster, TX

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide bedside care for progressive care patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Webster, Texas. The 10-bed unit uses Expanse charting and commonly cares for patients with 1:3 to 1:4 ratios.

• Monitor progressive care patients and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications, IV therapies and ordered infusions
• Manage respiratory support needs, including BiPAP and trach vents
• Assist with chest tube procedures and related post-procedure care
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care, documentation and patient education
• Prioritize safe care for telemetry and stepdown patients

• Current Texas Registered Nurse license
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• IMCU, progressive care or ICU stepdown experience
• Acute care hospital bedside nursing skills

• Familiarity with amiodarone, heparin, Cardizem and 3% saline
