Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Spokane, WA

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care in a progressive care unit on a 13-week contract in Spokane, Washington. The adult unit has 42 beds, averages 35 daily census, uses Epic, and sits in a short-term acute care hospital with a Level III trauma center. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor telemetry and assess adults with heart failure, atrial fibrillation, sepsis, stroke, chest pain, DKA, and respiratory failure
• Administer and manage cardiac and insulin drips, heparin protocols, and blood products per protocol
• Perform IV starts and maintain peripheral, central line, and PICC access
• Support oxygen therapy, noninvasive airway care, and rhythm interpretation
• Care for feeding tubes, manage dysrhythmias, and follow isolation precautions
• Collaborate with respiratory services, radiology, phlebotomy, and rapid response teams

• Washington Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS
• 1 year of progressive care, stepdown, DOU, or IMC experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, drip management, IV starts, central line and PICC care, heparin protocols, feeding tube care, oxygen therapy, and isolation precautions

• NIHSS
• Chest tube care, continuous bladder irrigation, and high-flow nasal cannula experience
• ABG interpretation
• Experience with seizure disorders and substance withdrawal
