Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Portsmouth, NH

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients in a 15-bed acute care hospital in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on a 13-week contract. The unit uses Meditech Expanse, has a 4:1 ratio, and holds comprehensive stroke center and level 2 trauma center designations.

• Monitor telemetry and assess for cardiac changes
• Titrate vasoactive medications per clinical guidance
• Provide progressive care for cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients
• Complete bedside shift reports and update the patient communication board
• Assist with temporary pacing and pre-op preparation for cardiovascular surgery
• Support arterial line care and removal
• Collaborate with nursing support staff to maintain safe patient flow

• New Hampshire Registered Nurse license
• ACLS and BLS
• Strong telemetry skills
• Experience titrating vasoactive medications such as levophed, phenylephrine, dopamine and dobutamine
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
