Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Olympia, WA

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide bedside care for adult and geriatric patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Olympia, Washington. The role supports PCU, telemetry, and medical-surgical patients with Epic charting and ratios that vary from 1:4 to 1:6.

• Monitor adult and geriatric patients with progressive care, telemetry, and medical-surgical needs
• Assess cardiac rhythm changes, oxygenation, and overall clinical status
• Administer ordered IV therapies, blood products, and drips
• Support noninvasive airway care, respiratory treatments, and tracheostomy management
• Assist with central lines, PICCs, feeding tubes, and chest tubes
• Coordinate with rapid response and code teams during patient deterioration
• Provide charge nurse support with staffing needs, bed flow, and unit coordination

• Washington Registered Nurse license
• 3 years of United States progressive care, telemetry, or medical-surgical experience
• Charge nurse experience
• Telemetry, dysrhythmia management, ABG interpretation, heparin protocols, and cardiac and vasoactive drip management
• BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, ventilator, oxygen therapy, and tracheostomy care
• Central line, PICC, peripheral IV, feeding tube, blood product, chest tube, CVA, renal failure, and seizure-disorder care

• ACLS and NIHSS
• Insulin and vasoactive drip titration
• Post-cardiac, neurological, trauma, and surgical recovery experience
• Wound care, wound vac, and bladder irrigation experience
