Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Indianapolis, IN

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care in a surgical progressive care unit on a 13-week contract in Indianapolis, Indiana. The adult unit has 1:3-4 ratios, serves surgical and medical overflow patients, and uses Cerner. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor adult progressive care patients on telemetry
• Manage cardiac drips, insulin drips, and dysrhythmias
• Provide care for tracheostomy, laryngectomy, and feeding tube needs
• Assist with chest tubes, surgical drains, and post-op recovery
• Support noninvasive airway care and BiPAP/CPAP use
• Perform line care and blood product administration
• Assist with charge nurse duties when assigned

• Indiana Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS
• 2 years of PCU or ICU experience
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Experience with tracheostomy and feeding tube care

• Arterial line and central line management
• Total laryngectomy and flap checks
• Charge nurse experience in a teaching hospital
• Cerner charting system experience
