Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Hermitage, TN

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for cardiac step-down patients in an acute care hospital in Hermitage, Tennessee on a 13-week contract. The unit uses Meditech and has 1:4 to 1:6 ratios with tech support. Patients may need stroke and post-cardiac cath care, respiratory support, and close monitoring.

• Monitor telemetry and interpret EKG rhythms
• Manage cardiac, heparin, and insulin drips
• Provide care for patients on BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and other oxygen delivery systems
• Assist with peritoneal dialysis and wound vac troubleshooting
• Support bedside procedures including thoracentesis, paracentesis, and chest tube care
• Maintain central line dressings and support tube feeding and NG/Dobhoff care
• Complete rounding, patient communication, and charting in Meditech

• Tennessee Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• EKG rhythm interpretation and cardiac, heparin, and insulin drip experience
• Peripheral IV skills and tube feeding and NG/Dobhoff tube experience
• Progressive care, stroke, and post-cardiac cath experience

• Peritoneal dialysis experience
