Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care for ICU and PCU overflow patients in a hospital in Asheville, North Carolina on a 13-week contract. The 10-bed unit uses Cerner, has a 2:1 ICU ratio and a 4:5 PCU ratio, and manages ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring.

• Monitor hemodynamic status and respond to changing patient conditions
• Manage ventilator support and collaborate on critical care treatment plans
• Administer critical care medications, including sedation, paralytics, and vasopressors
• Assist providers with bedside procedures such as chest tube insertion and intubation
• Provide care for chest pain observation, ICU overflow, and progressive care patients
• Document patient care in Cerner and communicate updates during bedside shift report

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS
• Medical ICU experience in a large facility
• Ventilator management and advanced hemodynamic monitoring skills
• Critical care pharmacology experience
• Central line management experience
