Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide cardiac step-down care in a hospital on a 13-week contract in Asheville, North Carolina. The unit cares for cardiac and progressive care patients, uses Cerner, and typically runs 1:4 ratios in a 40-bed setting.

• Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms
• Administer and titrate cardiac IV medications
• Provide care for CHF, MI, arrhythmia, and DKA patients
• Assist with bedside cardioversion and post-cardiac procedure recovery
• Complete assessments, interventions, and patient education
• Collaborate with the charge nurse and care team

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Step-down or progressive care nursing experience
• Telemetry experience
• Experience with titratable cardiac IV medications

• Prostacyclin infusion experience
• Charge nurse experience
