Travel PICU RN in Fayetteville, NC

A Travel Pediatric Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for critically ill infants, children, and adolescents in a short-term acute care hospital in Fayetteville, North Carolina on a 13-week contract. The 7-bed unit uses Epic and typically works at 1:2-3 ratios in a Level III trauma and teaching hospital.

• Provide direct care for critically ill pediatric patients
• Monitor hemodynamics, telemetry, and respiratory status
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies
• Manage ventilated patients, airway support, and suctioning
• Assist with lines, tubes, intubation, lumbar puncture, and other procedures
• Coordinate care with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• 2 years of PICU experience
• BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting system experience
• Pediatric dosage calculation skills
• Basic dysrhythmia interpretation

• Ventilator management and tracheostomy care
• ABG interpretation and procedural sedation monitoring
• TPN, lipids, and insulin pump experience
• Acute and chronic renal care
