Travel Physical Therapist in Chewelah, WA

A Travel Physical Therapist will provide acute care and outpatient rehabilitation in a critical access hospital in Chewelah, Washington on a 13-week contract. The role supports lower-acuity inpatients and outpatient patients in a rural setting and uses Epic charting. Therapy equipment includes lifts, parallel bars, stairs and exercise equipment.

• Evaluate mobility, strength, balance and safety needs
• Develop and adjust plans of care for acute and outpatient patients
• Provide therapeutic exercise, gait training and transfer training
• Teach patients and families safe mobility, home exercises and assistive device use
• Document progress in Epic and coordinate care with the therapy team
• Monitor vital signs and patient response during treatment

• Washington Physical Therapist license
• BLS certification
• 1 year of acute care physical therapist experience
• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program

• Epic charting system experience
• Inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation experience
• Orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation experience
• Assistive device, gait training and balance skills
