Travel Physical Therapist in Anchorage, AK

A Travel Acute Care Physical Therapist will provide inpatient therapy in an acute care hospital in Anchorage, Alaska on a 13-week contract. Adults and geriatrics make up the patient population, with trauma level 2 service, stroke care, and Epic charting.

• Evaluate adult and geriatric patients with medical and surgical needs
• Treat mobility, strength, balance, gait, and transfer deficits
• Assist with post-op, neuro, orthopedic, and cardiac rehabilitation
• Instruct patients and families on exercise plans, safety, and home programs
• Use lifts, walkers, and other adaptive devices for safe mobility
• Coordinate discharge planning and reassess progress

• BLS
• Alaska Physical Therapist license
• More than 1 year of acute hospital experience
• Acute care evaluation, gait training, transfer, and discharge planning skills

• WCC
• Wound care and lymphedema management
• Trauma level 2 experience
• Epic charting system experience
