Travel Physical Therapist in Valdez, AK

A Travel Physical Therapist will provide outpatient rehabilitation care in a hospital-based unit on a 26-week contract in Valdez, Alaska. The role also covers some inpatient, swing bed, and skilled nursing patients across adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Charting uses any system.

• Evaluate patients and develop treatment plans
• Provide therapeutic exercise, mobility training, and manual interventions
• Support rehabilitation for outpatient, acute care, and SNF patients
• Educate patients and families on home exercise and recovery goals
• Document assessments, treatments, and progress in the charting system
• Collaborate with the care team to adjust plans and coordinate discharge needs

• Alaska Physical Therapist license
• BLS certification
• 1 year of physical therapy experience
• Outpatient, acute care, rehabilitation hospital, and skilled nursing facility experience
• Body mechanics, patient education, and home exercise program skills
• Any charting system experience
