Travel Physical Therapist in Apple Valley, CA

A Travel Pediatric Physical Therapist will provide outpatient pediatric therapy in a hospital-based clinic on a 13-week contract in Apple Valley, California. The unit uses Epic and serves infants, children, and adolescents with developmental delay, torticollis, cerebral palsy, and orthopedic injuries. First-time travelers are accepted.

• Evaluate pediatric patients and establish treatment plans
• Provide therapy for developmental delay, torticollis, cerebral palsy, and orthopedic injuries
• Perform assessments of mobility, pain, range of motion, and milestones
• Teach families home exercise programs and carryover strategies
• Document care and progress in Epic
• Use adaptive equipment and support independent outpatient treatment

• BLS
• California Physical Therapist license
• 1 year of pediatric outpatient or home health experience
• Experience with adaptive equipment, AROM/AAROM/PROM, and milestone assessment
• Experience with patient family education, discharge planning, and plan of care
• Proficiency working independently in outpatient pediatric therapy

• Acute care experience
• Early intervention program experience
• Scoliosis experience
• Epic charting system experience
