About this job

A Travel Post Anesthetic Care Registered Nurse will provide recovery care in an acute care hospital for a 13-week contract in Wichita, Kansas. The recovery room has 30 beds, typical staffing runs 1:2, and Meditech is used for charting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients during post anesthesia recovery
  • Assess vital signs, pain, and airway status
  • Support recovery after craniotomy and orthopedic surgery
  • Document care and clinical changes in Meditech
  • Coordinate with surgical and anesthesia teams
  • Respond to changing patient conditions in the recovery room

Qualifications

  • Current Kansas Registered Nurse license
  • BLS and ACLS
  • Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PACU Registered Nurse experience

Preferred Skills

  • Flexibility with hours
  • Prior Meditech experience
