Travel PACU RN in Hilo, HI

A Travel Post Anesthetic Care Registered Nurse will care for surgical patients in pre-op, phase I, and phase II recovery in a hospital post-anesthesia unit on a 13-week contract in Hilo, Hawaii. The unit uses Meditech and supports close monitoring after surgery.

• Monitor patients through phase I and phase II recovery
• Assess vital signs, pain, incision sites, and stability
• Support preoperative preparation and postoperative recovery
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses in Meditech
• Assist with post-anesthesia monitoring and recovery equipment
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to stabilize patients

• Active Hawaii Registered Nurse license
• 2 years of critical care Registered Nurse or PACU experience
• BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association
• PALS credential from the American Heart Association
• Strong postoperative assessment and monitoring skills

• PACU experience
• Surgical nursing experience
• Additional specialty certifications such as NIHSS or TNCC
