Travel PACU RN in Columbia, SC

A Travel PACU Registered Nurse will provide post-anesthesia recovery care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Columbia, South Carolina. The unit serves adolescents through geriatrics and cares for patients recovering from general surgery, endoscopy, and peripheral vascular procedures. Epic charting is used, and first-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor patients in Phase I recovery after surgery and procedures
• Assess airway status, vital signs, pain, and sedation level
• Administer ordered medications and support IV therapy
• Provide recovery care for general surgery, endoscopy, and vascular patients
• Prepare patients for safe transfer with discharge instructions and handoff communication
• Respond to post-anesthesia changes and support urgent interventions as needed

• South Carolina or compact Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• 2 years of PACU experience
• Epic charting experience
• Phase I PACU experience
• Airway assessment, IV start and maintenance, and medication administration skills

• Critical care training
• End-tidal CO2 monitoring
• Arterial line management
• Monitored Anesthesia Care recovery experience
