Travel PACU RN in Austin, TX

A Travel Post Anesthetic Care Registered Nurse will provide recovery care in a recovery unit on a 13-week contract in Austin, Texas. It serves phase 1 recovery patients with 2:1 or 1:1 ratios and uses Meditech. The unit values teamwork and multitasking.

• Monitor postanesthesia patients during recovery
• Assess airway, pain, vitals, and neurologic status
• Manage IV therapy and arterial lines
• Support recovery from nerve blocks and lumbar punctures
• Assist with chest tube and respiratory support monitoring
• Prepare patients for safe transfer
• Communicate changes to the care team

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Phase 1 recovery experience

• Meditech experience
• Critical care experience
