Travel PACU RN in Fredericksburg, TX

A Travel Post Anesthetic Care Registered Nurse will provide preoperative and postoperative care in a hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Fredericksburg, Texas. The unit includes preop, recovery and outpatient procedure areas, with Meditech charting and standard monitoring equipment.

• Assess preoperative, phase I and phase II recovery patients
• Monitor vital signs, pain control and airway status
• Prepare patients for procedures and recovery discharge
• Assist with regional blocks, blood transfusions and IV therapy
• Support care for general, orthopedic, gynecologic, vascular and GI procedures
• Use cardiac monitoring, infusion pumps and other unit equipment
• Document patient care in the electronic record

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS and PALS
• Preop, phase I and phase II recovery experience
• Strong assessment, monitoring and patient education skills

• Meditech experience
• Regional block assistance
