Travel Oncology RN in Richmond, VA

A Travel Oncology Registered Nurse will provide care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Richmond, Virginia. The 24-bed unit uses Meditech and typically supports 5:1 to 6:1 ratios. It offers a dedicated education unit and strong patient experience focus.

• Assess oncology patients and monitor treatment responses
• Administer chemotherapy and supportive medications per protocol
• Coordinate care with physicians, techs, and unit secretaries
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and symptom management
• Document care and patient changes in Meditech
• Support bedside shift report and hourly safety rounds

• Active Registered Nurse license in Virginia
• Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse program
• Medical-surgical background
• Oncology nursing experience
• Chemotherapy administration and monitoring skills
• Strong assessment and patient education skills
