Travel Occupational Therapist in Hondo, TX

A Travel Occupational Therapist will provide rehabilitation services in a long term care setting in Hondo, Texas on a 13-week contract. The role focuses on cognitive and ADL physical functioning disorders, using standardized assessments, therapeutic interventions, and electronic documentation. It also works with patients, families, caregivers, and the care team on treatment goals and discharge planning.

• Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and ADL physical functioning disorders
• Develop and adjust plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
• Provide skilled treatment through ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and assistive devices
• Monitor progress and modify interventions based on patient response
• Document treatment minutes, outcomes, and clinical records in the electronic system
• Consult with patients, families, caregivers, and the care team on goals and discharge planning
• Supervise occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, or students

• Texas Occupational Therapist license
