Travel Nuclear Medicine Tech in San Pedro, CA

A Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform routine diagnostic studies in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in San Pedro, California. The unit serves adults and geriatrics, uses Epic, and has a low-volume workflow with one technologist working independently. It is a small community hospital setting with routine nuclear medicine cases.

• Perform nuclear medicine imaging studies
• Prepare radiopharmaceuticals and handle radioactive materials
• Start and maintain IV access for diagnostic and stress procedures
• Assist with cardiac, perfusion, and ventilation studies
• Document exams and patient care in Epic
• Monitor adult and geriatric patients during procedures
• Work independently in a small unit setting

• BLS certification
• ARRT certification in nuclear medicine or NMTCB/CNMT certification
• 2 years of nuclear medicine experience

• Bone, brain, renal, liver, and cancer survey imaging
• PET and sestamibi parathyroid studies
• Epic charting system experience
• Teaching or community hospital experience
