Travel Nuclear Medicine Tech in Hermiston, OR

A Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures and support patient care in a critical access hospital on a 13-week contract in Hermiston, Oregon. The role uses radiation detection and imaging equipment, prepares radiopharmaceuticals, and helps produce images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.

• Corroborate clinical history and prepare patients for nuclear medicine procedures
• Prepare, calculate, identify, and administer radiopharmaceuticals and prescribed medications
• Operate radiation detection and imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic images
• Position and immobilize patients for accurate and comfortable examinations
• Evaluate image quality and record proper identification
• Assist with interventional procedures, aseptic technique, and basic life support
• Perform venipuncture, maintain records, and report equipment issues

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nuclear medicine program
• Current Oregon OBMI registration
• ARRT registered nuclear medicine technologist credential
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 3 years of nuclear medicine technologist experience
