Travel Medical Assistant in Valley Village, CA

A Travel Medical Assistant will support an outpatient clinic in Valley Village, California on a 13-week contract. It serves adults and geriatrics in a high-volume clinic with 100+ patients a day, 15 providers, and Epic charting.

• Room patients and gather histories, medications, and allergies
• Take vital signs, heights, weights, and pulse oximetry
• Perform venipuncture and collect, label, and process specimens
• Assist with EKGs, immunizations, injections, and point-of-care testing
• Support wound care, dressing changes, and minor procedure setup
• Make follow-up calls and coordinate patient care needs

• 2 years of outpatient clinic medical assistant experience
• Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP accredited program
• High school diploma or GED
• BLS certification
• Epic charting experience
• Recent venipuncture experience

• Insurance verification and authorization forms
• Pharmacy calls and refill requests
• Telephone triage
