Per Diem Medical Assistant in San Diego, CA

A Per Diem Medical Assistant will support patient rooming and back office care in a primary care/family medicine residency clinic in San Diego, California. The role includes vital signs, injections, EKGs, simple wound care, retinal screening, and meter downloads.

• Room patients and prepare visits
• Obtain vital signs and document findings
• Administer injections and assist with EKGs
• Support back office procedures and simple wound care
• Operate retinal photo camera for screening
• Complete meter downloads and point-of-care tasks
• Assist with patient education and clinic flow

• Medical Assistant certification
• Experience with rooming, vital signs, injections, EKGs, back office procedures, simple wound care, retinal screening, and meter downloads
• Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program
