Travel Medical Assistant in Pasadena, CA

A Travel Medical Assistant will support outpatient OB/GYN care in Pasadena, California for a 13-week contract. The unit serves women over 12, and Epic is used for charting.

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, height, weight, pulse oximetry, and blood glucose
• Assist with OB/GYN exams and procedures, including Pap smears, biopsies, and fetal heart tones
• Perform venipuncture, capillary collection, urine collection, and specimen labeling
• Record histories, medications, and allergies in the medical record
• Support telephone triage, follow-up calls, and pharmacy or refill requests
• Provide immunization support and patient education as directed

• High school diploma or GED
• Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program
• BLS certification
• 1 year of outpatient clinic experience with OB/GYN experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Venipuncture, fetal heart tones, urine collection, specimen labeling, and rooming patients

• CMA
