Travel Medical Assistant in Tarzana, CA

A Travel Medical Assistant will support front-end and clinical duties in a hospital outpatient setting on a 26-week contract in Tarzana, California. The role serves adults and geriatrics, uses Epic charting, and supports urology and women’s health care.

• Support patient check-in, insurance verification, and referral tasks
• Room patients and obtain histories, medications, allergies, and vital signs
• Perform venipuncture, blood draws, specimen labeling, and urine collection
• Assist with urology procedures and sterile site preparation
• Remove bandages or stitches and support post-procedure care
• Provide coverage for MA and LVN tasks as needed

• High school diploma or GED and Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP accredited program
• BLS certification
• 3 years of medical assistant experience, including 2 years in an outpatient setting
• Urology or women's health experience
• Epic charting system experience and venipuncture, phlebotomy, and blood draw skills

• CMA certification
• Medication administration and 12 lead EKG/ECG
• Authorization forms, chart preparation, and telephone triage
• General/family practice, internal medicine, private physicians office, and aseptic tray setup
