Travel Medical Assistant in Playa Vista, CA

A Travel Medical Assistant Medical Assistant will support a high-volume outpatient primary care clinic in Playa Vista, California for 13 weeks. The clinic serves adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics, uses Epic, and supports phlebotomy with many daily patients and providers.

• Greet patients and obtain vital signs
• Review current medications and document histories and allergies
• Room patients and prepare exam and procedure rooms
• Draw specimens and prepare lab work as directed
• Administer immunizations, injections, and oral medications as directed
• Clean and reprocess equipment and supplies
• Support screenings, follow-up calls, and telephone triage

• 2 years of medical assistant experience in an outpatient clinic setting
• Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program
• High school diploma or GED
• BLS certification
• Recent venipuncture experience
• Epic charting system experience

• General/Family Practice experience
• Internal Medicine experience
• Ordering supplies
