Travel Medical Assistant in Juneau, AK

A Travel Medical Assistant Certified Medical Assistant will support patient flow, rooming, testing, and basic clinical care in an ambulatory care clinic on a 10-week contract in Juneau, Alaska. The clinic serves infants through older adults and relies on charting, point-of-care testing, and provider support.

• Room patients and collect histories, vitals, and chart updates
• Assist with point-of-care testing, specimen collection, lab draws, injections, and immunizations
• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and patients for routine exams and minor procedures
• Support providers with office procedures, radiology exams, and order entry
• Monitor patient condition, report changes, and respond to urgent concerns within scope
• Lead Clinical Assistant I and II staff and help maintain clinic flow

• Current national Medical Assistant certification or CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• High school diploma or GED, or an accredited nursing degree
• 3 years of healthcare experience
• 1 year of urgent care experience within the last 2 years

• Medical terminology and computer application skills
