Travel Medical Assistant in Juneau, AK

A Travel Medical Assistant Certified Medical Assistant will support ambulatory care clinic visits and patient flow on a 17-week contract in Juneau, Alaska. The clinic serves infants through older adults and combines administrative support, charting, and basic clinical tasks.

• Room patients and collect histories
• Obtain vital signs and document chart information
• Prepare exam rooms, supplies, and minor procedure setups
• Perform POCT, lab draws, and specimen handling
• Give immunizations, injections, and assist with radiology exams when competent
• Answer phones, enter orders, and document provider requests
• Coach junior clinical assistants and help maintain workflow

• High school diploma or GED
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Current national Medical Assistant certification
• 3 years of healthcare experience, including 1 year of urgent care experience within the last 2 years
• Nursing degree from an accredited institution
• EMR use, medical database entry, and patient data documentation skills

• Medical terminology
• Familiarity with computer programs
