Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Muncie, IN

A Travel Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Muncie, Indiana. The observation and inpatient unit serves chest pain, heart failure, and alcohol withdrawal patients and uses Cerner.

• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias
• Assess and care for chest pain, heart failure, and alcohol withdrawal patients
• Start and maintain IV access and manage peripheral lines, PICC lines, and ports
• Administer blood products and provide wound care
• Support phlebotomy, nasal cannula oxygen, and PCA therapy
• Maintain isolation precautions and respond to changing patient acuity

• Indiana Registered Nurse license
• ACLS and BLS
• 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• IV, line, port, and PICC management
• Blood product administration and wound care experience

• Cerner charting system experience
• Chest tube management
• Feeding tube care and management
• Rapid Response and Code team support
