Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for adults and geriatrics in a short term acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Lubbock, Texas. The unit averages 27 patients daily in a 30-bed setting with a 1:5 ratio. It is part of a Level II trauma center and uses Epic charting.

• Monitor telemetry rhythms and report changes
• Assess adults and geriatrics and update care plans
• Administer medications, fluids, and ordered therapies
• Coordinate care with therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Perform routine medical-surgical nursing interventions
• Document assessments, treatments, and responses in Epic

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• 1 year of medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Prior travel nursing experience

• Blood product administration and heparin protocols
• Central line, PICC, peripheral IV, and feeding tube care
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and rapid response support
• Oxygen therapy, HFNC, isolation precautions, and wound care
