Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Des Moines, IA

A Travel Med Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for post-procedural and overflow patients in a hospital telemetry unit on a 26-week contract in Des Moines, Iowa. The unit primarily serves patients staying 1 to 3 nights after surgery and also takes cath lab and emergency room overflow.

• Monitor telemetry trends and patient status
• Assess post-procedural patients and respond to changes
• Administer medications and ordered treatments
• Coordinate care with providers and the interdisciplinary team
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses
• Support admissions from cath lab and emergency room overflow

• Iowa Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Med Surg and telemetry nursing skills

• TNCC certification
