Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Med Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for adults on a general medicine unit in Charlottesville, Virginia for a 13-week contract. The unit averages 25 patients, uses Epic, and manages respiratory, renal, cardiac, endocrine, and infectious conditions with telemetry and nurse-driven drips.

• Monitor telemetry rhythms and report changes
• Manage heparin infusions and insulin drips per protocol
• Provide nursing care for adults with complex medical conditions
• Assist with chest tube, tracheostomy, and wound vac care
• Administer medications and support PCA therapy
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary support teams
• Document assessments and care in Epic

• Virginia Registered Nurse license, pending accepted
• BLS certification
• 1 year of medical-surgical or telemetry experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Prior travel experience
• Dysrhythmia interpretation, heparin protocol, and IV insulin drip management

• Renal patient care
• Tracheostomy care and management
• Charge nurse experience
• Teaching hospital or trauma level I experience
