Travel Med Surg RN in West Des Moines, IA

A Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse will provide bedside care on a medical-surgical unit in an acute care hospital on a 26-week contract in West Des Moines, Iowa.

• Assess patient status and report changes promptly
• Administer medications and carry out ordered treatments
• Monitor vital signs, labs, and overall recovery progress
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Document nursing care and patient responses accurately
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge needs

• Current Registered Nurse license in Iowa
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Med-surg nursing assessment, medication, and patient education skills
