Travel Med Surg RN in Thornton, CO

A Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse will care for post-op surgical patients on a 13-week contract in Thornton, Colorado. The unit has 29 beds, may overflow to 39, uses remote telemetry and Meditech, and works at a 5:1 patient ratio.

• Assess and plan care for medical-surgical patients
• Monitor remote telemetry and report rhythm changes
• Manage patients receiving cardiac and anticoagulant infusions
• Administer medications and support post-operative recovery
• Document care and patient responses in Meditech
• Collaborate with charge nurses and support staff to coordinate daily care

• Colorado Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• 1 year of current acute care Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse experience

• ACLS certification
• Prior Meditech experience
