Travel Med Surg RN in South Carolina

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will care for adult patients with complex gastrointestinal diagnoses in a hospital medical-surgical unit on a 13-week contract in Charleston, South Carolina. The unit has 21 beds, uses EPIC and serves a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility and Magnet hospital. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess and monitor adults with complex GI and medical-surgical needs
• Administer medications, fluids and IV therapies as ordered
• Provide oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway support
• Maintain peripheral lines and respond to urgent changes in condition
• Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC
• Support admissions, discharges and patient education

• Active South Carolina or multistate/compact Registered Nurse license
• BLS
• One year of medical-surgical Registered Nurse experience
• EPIC experience
• Experience with isolation precautions, oxygen therapy, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway support, peripheral line care and rapid response/code teams

• Starting and maintaining IVs
